Insights on Agiru's Politics

Agiru's official residence is in Townsville where CB is based at. Curtin Bros was engaged by SHPG right after the 2002 elections after Agiru took over as Governor. Hundreds of Millions of kina have been pumped into Curtin Brothers through the so called Tari super highway project (Halimbu - Ambua super highway), Tari International Airport etc....what bearing that project has on the lives of oridinary Hela's, only God knows.

The proceeds from these transactions have gone into purchasing machineries for the PNG LNG Project. CCJV was awarded US$3.0 Billion contract by Exxon Mobil well before the Kokopo UBSA. Agiru was at the helm of it. That's why Agiru and his boys buldozed the Kokopo UBSA and LBSA. Arthur Somare got his cut for helping Agiru in the LNG Project through the Communication infrastructure contract awarded by exxon mobil as well.

So now CCJV is everywhere in the LNG Construction area. Clough Niugini provides the technical/management experties while CB supplies the construction plant/equipment. So the poor landowners do not have any openning for engagement of heavy machineries because CCJV has it all. They don't need yours. So that no son of Hela could have the financial capacity to challenge Agiru come 2012.

Agiru planned it very well. UBSA/LBSA buldozing was well meditated. Transwonderland and HGDC (Larry/Libe)were given a raw deals. Agiru has it all himself through CCJV. This is how it is:

1. If the LOs were to benefit, then HGDC supposed to supply the heavy/light construction plant/equipment to the EPC contractors. Now that's not the case because CCJV is supplying them all whether it be road infrastructure upgrade or Pipeline construction or the Komo Airport.

2. As for Transwonderland, they are still waiting for the pipelines to be carried, while the actual cargo are being carried by Agiru's ships to Kopi (via Kikori river). Agiru owns MV Giluwe, MV Bosavi & MV Mamai. MV Mamai was named after Agiru's sister named Mamai who passed away some time earlier.

3. So the LNG Pipes as well as other cargo are being transported via the southern route and not Transwonderland's northern route.So TWL's K500 Million deal was a fiasco, when in actuallity, the bulk of the LNG cargo's are transported by Agiru's ships via Kikori. On the other hand it doesn't make business sense to transport the cargo's by land when they can do it at the fraction of the cost via southern route. The pipes have already been laid starting from Kopi all the way up to Gobe and Kutubu. The Cargo's for that section of the pipeline have already made their way via southern route by Agiru's ships.

4. If Agiru's was genuine with the LOs, he would have advised Sakai and Andagali to purchase ships rather then the trucks. So the TWL's trucks are still waiting to load the cargo's that have already made their way to the project sites. What a joke. So that's how Agiru's stabbed his brother LOs at their backs.
